Visitors arriving at overseas
destinations are normally required by the Immigration authorities to
complete an arrival form calling for some degree of information to be
entered concerning their visit to that destination. After
processing, this information comprises the basic source of data employed
in the compilation of a destination's "visitor arrival"
statistics. A visitor is generally defined to be any person visiting
a country, other than that in which he or she is normally resident in, for
a period of more than 24 hours.
